Pictures from the October 2001 Garage Sale in Berkeley

Half a dozen resilient AMILA members from points around the Bay Area started gathering in North Berkeley on October 20 before the sun broke over the hills, for AMILA's first-ever garage sale. Months of hard work collecting donated items paid off when we snapped the garage doors shut at the end of the day with over $1000 in the cash box for the annual Eid gift drive to benefit needy Bay Area kids. And we had a lot of fun. It was a good time on a sunny Saturday, hanging out with other AMILA friends who filtered in during the day to lend a hand.
